Web Traffic: YORGOO or Google?

Web Traffic, what is it and how to get it?

Why is there so much talk about web traffic? The answer is simple: where there is traffic, there is money.

At the base of any online success, there is traffic. Only people who see your site, can purchase from you or earn you money by clicking on an affiliate link. Traffic is nothing else than a stream of visitors to your website.

Many webmasters have great products to sell, great articles to read, great knowledge to share, however no one knows these websites exist at all. That’s due to the absense of traffic.

In order to sell anything online, you need visitors, a simple website will not do the trick. You need to publish and publicise your site so it becomes visible.

The question is: where do we need to publish the web site?

Two criteria to observe:

  1. You must tempt to publish where there is traffic
  2. You must publish where there are potential visitors interested in your site content.

Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

The first task is to find out where your potential visitors hang out. This can be places like Google, eBay, Amazon, Newsgroups, Forums, blogs, social network and bookmarking sites … your market analysis will tell you.

The second task is more delicate because you have to decide about your targeting and how narrow you want to target. The narrower the better you may say, and that’s true provided you really hit the target. If however you do narrow targeting and you are just one tick besides the objective, you may not get any results.

If on the other hand you target too widely, you will get too much traffic from people who are not interested in your content. One solution is about as bad as the other, whereas I prefer the second one, because any traffic will help your site anyway.

The art consists in optimizing your targeting. This means that you have to find a profitable balance between targeting and the effort  it takes you to make your site visible.

An example for this statement would be the use of Google AdWords: If you target too narrowly, you may end up getting very little or no traffic, namely if you get it wrong. If on the other hand you target right, you will  end up with a high conversion rate. Now you need to optimize the conversion rate, which is worth while namely if you get regular traffic generated from Google Ads as your cost per click can decrease to 5 cents per click.

If you target too widely on Google ads, you will spend money on every visitor and namely those who are not interested in your content. By doing so,  your conversion will drop and the price for your clicks will increase as Google penalizes you for low conversion rates. Wide targeting may bring you thus more traffic at overpriced levels and it will ultimately kill your business as your marketing cost will outweight the benefit of the campaign.

Another example we find on YORGOO: YORGOO is built to optimize your targeting. The recommended and supported websites as listed in your YORGOO back-office represent a well defined target: home business builders in quest of traffic and leads, whereas most of them are not really successful in what they are doing and therefore are looking around to improve their performance.

Joining YORGOO and working traffic the YORGOO way is a pretty safe way to build traffic and leads with foreseeable results.

If on the other hand you promote YORGOO out of target, you will make all your effort for nothing and you are wasting your time.

Promoting YORGOO is obviously not limited to traffic exchanges and safelists. YORGOO will do quite well on Google as well, for as long as you target niches where visitors are interested in Home Business Building, in Leads and in Traffic or if your visitors are spending money on GoogleAds or onother paid advertising.

It needs to be underlined: the traditional YORGOO way of generating Traffic is accessible to anyone, easy to execute and efficient. YORGOO is an ideal lead generator and list builder for networkers. We have proven over the years that YORGOO is doing better than it’s competitors, most likely because of two reasons:

  1. the follow up
  2. YORGOO is independent and ads free

Google vs. YORGOO: we will compare the two strategies and environments and the combination of the two in the next articles in this Web Traffic series.
