DubLi closes Marketplace

DubLi closes its Auction Marketplace

Today's Newsletter from DubLi announces the end of Free Auctions listings for DubLi users:

"Marketplace

The marketplace will be closed as of July 10th, 2008.

This is the result of the newest legislation that mandates that online portals are liable for the products offered on their platforms. As it is not possible for us to control marketing fraud, we have been forced to take this action.

http://www.luxist.com/2008/06/30/ebay-loses-big-french-lawsuit/|

We will keep track of this matter; this decision can be reversed if the situation improves at a later date.

Based on past experience, DubLi has decided to work together only with professional partners - this was made a top priority. In DubLi Auction, for example, DubLi will no longer be dependent on outside suppliers - DubLi itself will deliver all products.

As a result of the marketplace closure, we will also limit the shop solutions on offer. As of July 10th, only the Professional Shop System will be available to customers."

Unclear where DubLi is going

It is hard to believe, that DubLi is closing its Marketplace just for the reason of a pending eBay lawsuit in france and its hard to believe, that DubLi would take such a decision on such a short notice.

We have observed that the Marketplace has not really attracted the expected crowds and since DubLi focused more on SmartWin, the Marketplace became a desert.

We also observed the shops disappearing and the drop in product offers on the DubLi Platform from a few hundred thousand to a few thousand only.

Customer shops have been closed without prior notice nor back-ups.

Now the Marketplace closes down and a bunch of new products are launched. We will rview them later.

DubLi is also preparing a Grand Opening in the USA for August/September. According to recently published articles in the USA (we have been reporting on the issue), an American representative for DubLi has been appointed and the communication strategy is targeting the market as if there had never been DubLi in the USA.

The move to the USA has still not been announced officially to the existing DubLi Business Associates. (Check a press release)

Existing DubLi Business Associates in the USA have not been consulted nor involved in that move, namely not any of the about 100 business associates in the YORGOO DubLi Team.

The DubLi Network Leader, Carlos Oestby, Vice President of DubLi Network LLC, has quietly disappeared from the sceene, without any notice either.

DubLi Shareholders (Business Associates who bought shares) have not received any news about the company since they purchased shares a year ago nor any end of the year company information, such as accounts or an annual report or any factual report about the company development, it's plans, visons and status quo.

DubLi is obviously not willing to adopt a transparent communication policy and I am not really sure that this is a good sign.

DubLi is playing with the trust of those who have joined the original vision of DubLi, of those who have trusted Carlos Oestby and Michael Hanson, of those who were excited by the idea of a global trading platform with free auction listing, by those who have trusted the plans that DubLi was to go public; the latter issue is also a matter of concern, since no announcement has been made since the one where it was lined out that DubLi would go to the London Stock Exchange (by now I rather believe it's the AIM) by spring 2008….we are in summer.

What is wrong with DubLi?

For sure DubLi is in a restructuration phase and restructuration needs time. But what restructuration needs most is the trust and confidence from those who believe in the company and its management, the investors, shareholders, business associates and customers… unless DubLi intends to restart from scratch once more and evict those who have spent thousands of Euros on a dream that never may come true.

DubLi Shops and Customer Care

DubLi Shops are the lifeblood of the DubLi Ecommerce platform

DubLi.com - like any online trading platform - stands and falls with the growth of its Customer and Shop Owner base.
Acquiring a new customer is always so much more expensive than taking good care of your existing customer base - all big online and offline companies invest in good customer relations. It’s just common sense and the right thing to do. There’s huge competition out there and especially the current market giant in Ecommerce is not sleeping and rapidly catching up on some lost ground in the past… namely Customer Support and Customer Care.

Leading is about Service - a fundamental basic lesson of YCADEMY Elite Marketing and Business Education Trainings.

DubLi Business Associates received a free Shop included in their 500 Euro DubLi business license - valid for one year. This was arguably the finest online shop available on the Internet - delivered from HotDigital in Germany, of which DubLi.com was basically a reseller. At the time, the monthly cost per shop was 49 Euros.

Smart and ambitious DubLi Business Associates invested in highly specialized and eShop-oriented Ecommerce Training Seminars by YCADEMY to learn the complex setup of such a global shop with its vast implications due to being global - just think of tax and VAT regulations in an international environment… not to speak of the many languages… to get the drift. This was no easy task for individuals… some of which were mainly networkers, so not familiar with the ins and outs of running a shop, any shop that is.

As a result of these in-depth Trainings by an expert in the field, the Momentum created and the expectations in DubLi Ecommerce, meaning a company on the go to compete with the market leader in not a too distance future, we saw some phenomenal personal growth. And some amazing results of countless hours of hard dedicated work, investments in professional web designers, investments in professional photographers, professional many things. . .

Clarly, to have a professional look and compete with established German enterprises with millions of Euros in annual turnover there is no other way. Offline or online.

As just one example, we saw Sabine Pollak’s "Artbagandmore" ranging just under Bluebuy, a major player in the Ecommerce field - soon to be bought by DubLi.com at the time.
An impressive achievement based on extreme discipline, focus, investment  and tireless work.

Due to many people struggling with their complex DubLi Shop installations and setups or simply just wanting to focus on DubLi Network…, other Business Associates saw the market niche and became DubLi Shop Specialists offering their Services after countless hours of study and trials and errors - like Ralf Doberstein with "succeed2sell". Ralf has set up amazing DubLi Shops like the "Mystic Mall" - and being bi-lingual his scope and knowledge are vast and so is his Service. DubLi Shop setups became his business. But he was not the only one. . .

Anyone hitting on DubLi Shop on the Dubli.com website could see the progress as the individual shop owners started competing for top rankings. DubLi Shops were classified top to bottom according to number of product items listed … and there were 1000’s.

Today. . . there are hardly any. Where are they?

Go to DubLi.com and click on DubLi Shops at the top… you will find 164 Shops over 9 pages with insignificant stock. . . in online trading terms.

What happened to the DubLi Shops?

Well… all I know is that there’s been a split with HotDigital - resulting in a loss of what was the finest range of shops on the Internet. And that there are ‘new Dubli shops’ now…

So what are DubLi Shop Owners supposed to do?

Many questions without answers…

Here’s what happened to DubLi Shop Owner Sabine Pollak:

Last week Friday, Sabine still saw her Dubli Shop… from where she was making regular sales. She spent the weekend on Trade Fairs in Germany promoting her DubLi Shop.
On Monday, her Shop was gone.

No mail, no communication, no announcement. Just like that!

Gone was her entire Customer Database.
Gone the entire complex Shopping Setup.
Gone what she had built. Everything!

What was DubLi’s answer to this ? I mean… eventually…

DubLi.com recommends to setup the new DubLi Shop - for which Sabine has paid in advance when she bought the DubLi Network Silver Package for a year - or to continue with HotDigital at a monthly cost of 100 Euro (imagine what that is in U$…).

Now… Sabine would like to continue with DubLi as she has paid in advance.

However, her entire customer database has ‘disappeared’… and what is a shop without its customers?!

On the other hand, HotDigital is very happy to provide her with her ‘own’ customer database again if she becomes their customer, paying 100 Euros a month.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Sabine didn’t have much choice:

To save the Online Business she has built, Sabine now administers and pays for TWO SHOPS:  DubLi and HotDigital.

PS: . . . as Sabine is a Business Associate in DubLi Network and there is commercial interest from uplines for sales made on DubLi according to the DubLi Marketing Plan… what is the answer here???

To be continued. . .
